Hank Preister, packs his parachute outside of his house in Glen Carbon, IL on Tuesday May 27th 2014. He is preparing for his upcoming jump. He serves as the President of the skydiving club at his college and volunteers to educate individuals on the basics of parachuting.

Hank (center) meets up with a couple of his friends, a few miles from the location they will attempt to parachute from on Saturday May 31st 2014. They decided to meet at a parking lot and only take one car to the jump location in efforts to not cause too much attention to the jump location.

After arriving to the jump location, Hank prepares himself to parachute from the top of an antenna that reaches nearly 300 ft tall. He states "In a B.A.S.E. Jumping career you'll lose friends, you may die and you may see people die and that is something you have to accept going into this."

Here he climbs to the top of a 300 foot tall antenna using only his hands and feet. It takes him about 30 minutes worth of climbing to reach the top.

Hank friend's make their jumps and lands safely shortly before he makes his jump. While packing their parachutes they notice that something is going wrong with Hank's jump.

Hank (mid air) falls directly towards the forest of trees due to a technique error. This is attributed to the fact that he threw his parachute too late and was not able to maneuver himself into a clear landing.

Hank Preister fearfully holds on to a tree after parachuting from the top of an antenna that stands nearly 300 feet tall. Here he calls out to his friends below him for help after his landing goes terribly wrong and leaves him in danger of his life on Saturday May 31st 2014.

Hank suffers minor bruises. He is quite lucky because after falling from that height a tree branch could have easilyt plunged into his body.

Hank has not decided if he will continue a career in B.A.S.E. Jumping. However he will continue to skydive.
